The Basics
General Questions

Yes. All courses delivered by Aus Loadshifting are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). We are a SafeWork NSW Accredited RTO (Provider ID 91544), which means the qualifications you earn with us are valid across all states and territories.

For most courses, no prior experience is required. You will need to hold a current NSW driver's licence (or equivalent) for heavy vehicle courses. For high risk work licences, you must be at least 18 years old and have sufficient English literacy and numeracy to complete the written assessment. If you're unsure, give us a call and we'll work it out with you.

Most courses are delivered at our facility at 4 Purcell Road, Londonderry NSW 2753. Dogging and rigging licences are delivered on-site at your workplace — we come to you anywhere across Western Sydney. If you'd like on-site delivery for other courses, contact us to discuss.

Bring your photo ID, your driver's licence (for heavy vehicle courses), and wear appropriate PPE — work boots, long pants, and a work shirt. For high risk work licence courses you will also need your Assessment Enrolment Number (AEN) from Service NSW. We'll remind you of everything you need when you book.

Licences & Certification
Getting Your Licence

For high risk work licences (forklift, EWP, dogging, rigging), once you pass your assessment you'll receive a Notice of Satisfactory Assessment (NSA). You then apply online through Service NSW and typically receive your licence card within a few weeks. For heavy vehicle licences, the process is handled through Service NSW after your competency assessment is completed.

High risk work licences (forklift, EWP, dogging, rigging) are valid for 5 years. After that you'll need to pay a renewal fee through SafeWork NSW — currently around $70. You'll receive a reminder before expiry. Heavy vehicle licences don't expire in the same way but are tied to your driver's licence conditions.

If you don't pass first time, you can rebook for a reassessment. We'll work with you to identify where you need more practice before you sit again. There is an additional fee for reassessment. Our trainers give you the best possible preparation on the day so you go into your assessment confident.

No — you don't need a driver's licence to obtain a forklift or earthmoving operator ticket. These are high risk work licences, not road licences. You do need to be at least 18 and meet the English literacy requirements for the written assessment component.
